USDA wants families to “Grill It Safe”

WASHINGTON — Days are getting warmer and baseball season is in full swing — all signs that the summer cookout season is upon us. As summer is welcomed at weekend barbecues this year, USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service issues a reminder that no recipe, whether it is meant for the kitchen or the grill, can be a success without including food safety steps.
