WASHINGTON — USDA's Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service has issued a proposed rule to establish general regulations for improving the traceability of U.S. poultry and livestock moving interstate when animal disease events take place.
The proposal calls for establishing minimum national official identification and documentation requirements in order to trace interstate movement of animals.
