UA Poultry Science hosting its first POSC Research Day

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas Poultry Science Department is hosting its first POSC Research Day on May 25. The event will be held at the university’s Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences building, as well as online via Zoom.

The department is welcoming researchers, students and those in the industry interested in poultry science to join this new collaborative event.

This research day event will feature a morning of keynote speakers from government agencies, industry and academia discussing the topic, Water Conservation in Poultry Performance and Sustainability. Following lunch there will be a POSC student competition that will include presentations, a poster session, and awards.

Among the speakers and topics will be Rodney Wright, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service; Brittany Craig, Tyson Foods; Dr. Susan Watkins, University of Arkansas; Samantha Beitia, Simmons Foods; Dr. Sara Orlowski, University of Arkansas; Dr. Tom Tabler, University of Tennessee; Dr Yi Liang, University of Arkansas; and Dr. Elizabeth Greene, University of Arkansas.

The event will be May 25, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
