Kemin regulatory expert appointed to AFIA board

DES MOINES, Iowa — Kristi Krafka, vice president of regulatory affairs for the animal nutrition and health division of Kemin in North America, has been appointed to the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) board of directors.

Krafka's appointment expires May 2015 and she is one of only six female feed industry leaders on the 37-member board. Most recently, Krafka was chairwoman of AFIA's Feed Regulatory Committee.

Krafka was instrumental in Kemin achieving the prestigious Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognition at its Des Moines, Iowa, manufacturing facility in February 2013. Kemin earned the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC. . .
