REDFIELD, Iowa — The Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization Inc. (PAACO) has granted Certified Audit status to FACTA LLC's Humane Certified Welfare Audit Program - Turkey, verifying that it has met the organization's 11 minimum criteria for welfare audits.
Certifying audit instruments is one of the services offered by PAACO. While audit tools for dairy and swine production and meat plant welfare for cattle, swine and lamb have previously attained certified status, this is the first certification to cover turkey welfare from hatchery through slaughter production stages.
