WASHINGTON — A new federal generic label approval process and new nutrition guidelines are among the issues to be discussed at the Federal Food Regulatory Conference to be held here April 28-29.
The conference, sponsored by Prime Label Consultants, features two days of general sessions and breakout workgroup sessions. It provides experts and professionals a venue to discuss the latest in food labeling.
General sessions topics include USDA/Food Safety & Inspection Service and Food & Drug Administration regulatory and labeling updates, the proposed Food Labeling Modernization Act, and FDA versus USDA in label policing, enforcement and risk reduction.
