MINNEAPOLIS — More than 6,000 chickens and ducks have been infected with H5N1 in southwest France, according to a report from the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota.
After a quiet three months, France is reporting avian flu activity in the southwestern part of the country, according to Avian Flu Diary, an infectious disease blog. The two new outbreaks raise the total number of French outbreaks to 79 since Nov. of 2015.
