KENDALLVILLE, Ind. — Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch recently announced that they are building a new egg processing facility in Kendallville, Ind. This new facility for Herbruck’s will create 60 jobs for the local community.

The 75,000-square-foot facility on Weston Avenue will result in a more than $20 million economic investment in the Kendallville community and greater region, the company said in a statement. Herbruck’s plans to have the facility up and running in the spring of 2026 and hiring is currently underway to fill positions at the facility.

“At Herbruck’s, our values guide us and help ensure we treat our environment and communities with respect while supplying our customers with delicious, high-quality eggs,” Cody Herbruck, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch associate vice president of operations, said. “Our new Kendallville plant will increase our egg processing capacity to meet customer demand, allow for the local processing of Indiana farm eggs and distribute eggs directly from the site to our customers. We are excited to be part of the Kendallville community and thank local leaders for their support.”

Herbruck’s is a fourth-generation family business and one of the country’s top egg producers, the company added. This facility will add 420 million eggs annually to Herbruck’s overall contribution to the poultry industry.

“Herbruck’s is a family-owned company built on generations of hard work, and they’re making a long-term investment in Kendallville that will bring good paying jobs and new opportunities to the area,” Indiana Gov. Mike Braun said. “This new facility will leverage Indiana’s role as the Crossroads of America to help Hoosier-grown products reach customers across the Midwest.”

Because this project will create many jobs for the community, Herbruck’s received Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) tax credits from the State of Indiana.

Todd Fowler, a longtime Kendallville resident, recently earned the position of plant manager for the new facility. He has wide-ranging experience in maintenance, engineering, succession planning and leadership development across the manufacturing industry, Herbruck’s noted.

“I’m looking forward to helping our crew members expand their skills, connect with their community and be a part of the team that serves high-quality Herbruck’s eggs to customers,” Fowler said.

Jobs at the new facility are posted on the company’s website. Herbruck’s has a longstanding history of demonstrating its commitment to employees and the communities it serves and has been recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the United States for the last three years by the National Association for Business Resources, the company added.
