Halloween is a great time to dispel bat myths

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Whether you fear them, are fascinated by them, or a little of both — bats are an animal most people have an opinion on. It doesn’t help the fear factor that they are a popular motif for Halloween décor and everything “spooky” and “scary.”

With the last week in October designated as bat week, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service wanted to help people separate fact from fiction and delve deeper into these amazing and beneficial animals.
