Industry: OSHA’s expanded poultry inspections outside legal limits

WASHINGTON — Poultry industry associations have expressed concern about the Occupational Safety & Health Administration's recent attempts to expand OSHA authority to conduct wall-to-wall inspections of poultry processing facilities whenever they receive notice of any accident or employee complaint.

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, National Chicken Council and National Turkey Federation stated in a news release that "there are legal limits on when and how OSHA may inspect, and we believe those inspections should. . .
