DAVIS, Calif. — Ron Foster, president and CEO of Foster Farms has been presented with the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine’s 2012 Distinguished Service Award.
Dean Michael Lairmore presented the award on Oct. 2, 2012.
For more than 15 years, Foster has assisted the school — as advisor, fundraiser, benefactor, pet owner and corporate collaborator — and significantly enhanced its teaching, research and service missions. Foster was a charter member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and has served continuously since 1998, currently as vice chairman.
Through his contacts in the poultry industry, Foster helped to secure matching contributions. . .
