USPOULTRY approves new research grants

TUCKER, Ga. — U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and the USPOULTRY Foundation have approved a total of $277,914 for five new research grants at five institutions.

Grants recipients and research proposals are:

North Carolina State University: Develop and Test Ammonia — Oxygen Monitoring System for Poultry Houses

University of Arkansas: Rapid Detection of Viable Salmonella on Poultry Carcasses without Enrichment Using Multiplex PCR and Quantitative PCR (qPCR)

Georgia Tech Research Institute: Dynamic Filtration for Poultry Processing Liquid Streams

Auburn University: Novel Avian Vaccine Vector Generating Cross-Protective Immunity to Different IBV Serotypes

University of Connecticut: Testing of Non-virulent NetB. . .
