Tyson donates $100K to Kansas YMCA

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Garden City Family YMCA recently hosted an event to announce a $100,000 donation from Tyson Foods Inc. The donation will go toward the construction of a 27,730-square-foot inflatable sports dome with indoor athletic facilities, including basketball courts, a gymnastics area and walking track.

“The YMCA is critical to the quality of life, and health and wellness of our community,” said Brad Shafer, Tyson Foods’ Finney County complex manager. “We’re proud to support the YMCA’s efforts, while providing more options for our team members and neighbors to live a healthy lifestyle. . .
