Symposium examines antimicrobial use

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A symposium to discuss the often misunderstood issues of antimicrobial use and resistance will be held Nov. 12-14 in Kansas City, Mo.

The symposium — "Bridging the Gap between Animal Health and Human Health" —  is hosted by the National Institute for Animal Agriculture with speakers representing environmental, human and animal health.

"The speakers at the symposium . . . will provide the latest scientific bodies of information and separate the facts from perceived facts, " said Dr. Nevil Speer, Western Kentucky University and co-chairman of the symposium. "Their information will help us move beyond the confines of our own disciplines. . .
