CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Poultry Science Association has published new findings that showcase tradeoffs between different layer hen housing systems on the sustainability of commercial-scale egg production

The published group of scientific papers detail the initial results of a broad study on sustainability of three different commercial-scale egg production systems — conventional cage, enriched colony and cage-free aviary.
