TUCKER, Ga. — The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has named a new research award after Dr. Charles Beard for his numerous contributions to the research program of USPOULTRY and its Foundation.
Beard served on the Foundation's Research Advisory Committee for more than 15 years. In 1993, he joined the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association staff as vice president of research and guided the research program for the next 17 years.
The goal of the new Charles Beard Research Excellence Award is to recognize outstanding completed research projects, funded by USPOULTRY or the USPOULTRY Foundation, which have made. . .
