TEACHEY, N.C. — Following a devastating fire at its Wallace, N.C.-based processing plant in February, House of Raeford Farms has officially selected a contractor to manage the rebuilding process.
House of Raeford is partnering with Fitts & Goodwin, a general contractor and construction company based in Columbia, S.C., to build the new Wallace processing facility.
“Fitts & Goodwin shares House of Raeford’s commitments to community and quality, as evidenced by the state-of-the-art hatchery they built for our company in Monetta, S.C., in 2016,” said Bob Johnson, House of Raeford president and CEO. “Building on their long history of success, we are confident they are the perfect partner for House of Raeford as we work to rebuild in Wallace.”
House of Raeford is working with Fitts & Goodwin to finalize details of the rebuild project plan. Fitts & Goodwin has already begun overseeing work at the site, and expects the rebuild project to be complete by summer 2018.
