Frontline meat and poultry workers high priority for COVID-19 vaccination

WASHINGTON — Frontline meat and poultry workers should be amongst the first to be vaccinated after health care workers and those in long-term care facilities, according to federal guidance approved today by the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Priority (ACIP).

North American Meat Institute President and CEO Julie Anna Potts applauded ACIP’s guidance and urged state governments to follow CDC’s decision.
