AUBURN, Ala.— William A. (Bill) Dozier, Auburn University professor and poultry nutritionist, has assumed the role as head of Auburn’s Department of Poultry Science, effective as of Sept. 1. He also will serve as executive director of the 30-acre Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center, which is scheduled for completion in 2020.
Dozier’s selection followed a national search, AU College of Agriculture Dean Paul Patterson said.
“I believe Dr. Dozier’s extensive experience as a professor and as a research and Extension scientist positions him exceptionally well for his new position,” Patterson added.
