Chicken salad recalled due to possible contamination

WASHINGTON — Winter Gardens Quality Foods Inc. of New Oxford, Pa., is recalling approximately 3,710 pounds of chicken salad products that may be contaminated with extraneous plastic materials, USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced.

The product being recalled are 10-pound bulk plastic tubs containing "Soutwest Chicken Salad." The items were produced on various dates between Jan. 28 and Feb. 11, 2016, and have the establishment number “P-9815” inside the USDA mark of inspection and case code “2444.” These items were shipped to a distributor in Pennsylvania for further processing and distribution.
