JACKSON, Miss. — Cal-Maine Foods Inc. has reported results for the first quarter of fiscal 2016 ended Aug. 29, 2015.
Net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2016 were $609.9 million, compared with net sales of $356.9 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2015. The company reported net income of $143 million, or $2.97 per basic share and $2.95 per diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2016, compared with $27.7 million, or 57 cents per basic and diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2015.
