DOVER, Del. — A Delaware panel has agreed to provide up to $1.3 million in taxpayer money to poultry producer Perdue Foods for expansion of its processing plant in Milford.
Delaware's Council on Development Finance has approved a performance grant of up to $700,000 to Perdue Farms Inc. for creating jobs. The panel also approved a capital expenditure grant of up to $600,000.
Officials say Perdue plans to add 350 workers by September at its Milford plant, which will process organically grown chicken under the name of Coleman Natural Foods.
