ORLANDO, Fla. — Chick-fil-A, known for being closed on Sundays, opened some of its Orlando-area restaurants this past Sunday, June 12, to serve food to those providing assistance following the early morning massacre at the Pulse nightclub.
The Atlanta-based chain didn’t say how many of its restaurants opened that day but did confirm several employees were out serving, an Orlando Fox affiliate reported.
They passed out iced tea and sandwiches to those waiting in line to donate blood, as well as to law enforcement officials who responded to the scene, Fox said.
