9 million pounds of chicken and beef patties recalled

WASHINGTON — Golden Krust Patties of Bronx, N.Y., is recalling approximately 9,073,384 pounds of beef and chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced. The products contain egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

The beef and chicken products were produced on various dates from Jan. 24, 2014, through Feb. 26, 2015.

Recalled products are "Golden Krust Jamaican Style" spicy beef patties, mild beef patties, chicken patties, hot beef patties and cheezee beef patty.
