STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — George Watts, who retired last year as president of the National Chicken Council, has been named secretary general of the International Poultry Council (IPC). He assumed the position during the IPC's recent annual meeting in Praia do Forte, Bahia, Brazil.
Watts replaces George Winn, who recently stepped down as executive secretary of the IPC, a position he had held for the last four years. The IPC Executive Committee also renamed the title from executive secretary to secretary general.
