TUCKER, Ga. — The USPOULTRY Board Research Initiative is requesting pre-proposals regarding research investigating the pathways for introduction, dissemination and detectability of salmonella during second processing.
The areas of focus for the research will be to assess how all activities, procedures, methodologies and equipment in second processing affect the risk of introduction and dissemination of salmonella contamination during second processing and to determine the best methods and techniques for sampling for salmonella contamination throughout second processing.
