USDA’s One Health achieves multiple wins in the battle against antibiotics

GAINESVILLE, Ga. ‑ The USDA is the leading authority on all things agriculture in the U.S. including monitoring antibiotics in poultry production. Since 2012, The USDA opened their “One Health Coordination Center” to address issues that are shared by both animals and human health when it comes to antibiotics.

By focusing on the whole picture of the food system from plants and manure to chickens and feed, scientists can determine how the relationships that would otherwise be difficult to recognize, according to the AgResearch Magazine.
