TUCKER, Ga. — The U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council has announced that Greg Tyler, USA Poultry & Egg Export Council president and CEO, was elected as chair during its board of directors meeting at USAEDC’s annual workshop in Baltimore, Md.

Tyler previously served as secretary/treasurer of USAEDC. He will be the organization’s chair for the next two years.

“I am truly honored to serve as the USAEDC chair as it provides such a great opportunity to work with the more than 90 members that advance U.S. agricultural exports,” said Tyler, who was appointed president and CEO of USAPEEC in 2022 after 25 years with the council.

“Through our members’ programs, U.S. agricultural exports reached $196 billion in 2022,” Tyler added “My hope is that with the invaluable partnership we have with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service we can continue to elevate the importance of U.S. food and agricultural products to the global community.”

“We are fortunate to have strong leadership and sustained engagement from our members during this exciting time for our membership,” said USAEDC Executive Director Lorena Alfaro. “With the newly announced Regional Agricultural Promotion Program from USDA and Congress working toward a new Farm Bill, our members are focused on growing markets and trade opportunities for American farmers and the agricultural sector. Tyler’s vision, experience, and support will be crucial as we work together to achieve results for U.S. agriculture stakeholders.”
