GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Avian Influenza has been a concern for everyone since early spring. Bird flu is predominantly found in wild fowl and other poultry. Although, with this spring’s outbreaks, bird flu was found among dairy cattle in several states.

This put health organizations in the United States on high alert. However, this is not the first-time bird flu has jumped from species to species. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus was found in cats Thailand in 2004, North Germany in 2006, Poland and South Korea in 2023. Other cases in cats, dogs, goat. . .
