ARLINGTON, Va. — The Animal Agriculture Alliance recently announced that it will be participating in this year’s Giving Tuesday, on Dec. 2. From now until then, the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association is going to match all donations to the Alliance up to $100,000, the Alliance said in an announcement.

With USPOULTRY’s assistance, the contributions given will go further to keeping meat, dairy, poultry, and eggs on consumers’ plates. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the main way that the Alliance can continue to protect the future of animal agriculture is with the help of the public, and Giving Tuesday is the perfect opportunity for that.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving when people around the world come together to support causes they care about, the Alliance noted. People can make a tax-deductible donation to support the Alliance’s important work.

“The stakes are high for animal agriculture as we navigate pressures on animal protein from various sources—but there’s strength in numbers,” Hannah Thompson-Weeman, Animal Agriculture Alliance president and CEO, said. “With your support, we can bolster our work to safeguard the future of animal agriculture and bridge the gap between farm and fork.”

Founded in 1987, the Alliance brings together farmers, ranchers, veterinarians, animal feed companies, animal health companies, processors, and more to bridge the communication gap between the farm and food communities.

The organization also connects key food industry stakeholders to give them the responses emerging issues, engages food chain influencers and promote customer choice by helping them better understand modern animal agriculture and protects farmers’ livelihoods by exposing those who threaten our nation’s food security with damaging misinformation.
