Symposium looks at poultry’s future

ATHENS, Ga. — A symposium being held in conjunction with the Poultry Science Association's annual meeting will discuss "Vision 2030: Poultry Production and Processing for a Viable Future."

A panel of industry experts will provide insight into the future needs of the industry. Speakers include  Jim Perdue, chairman of Perdue Farms; Prof. Farrokh Mistree, director of the Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering School at the University of Oklahoma; Paul Helgeson, sustainability manager of Gold’n Plump Co.; and Mike Robach, vice president, Corporate Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs, Cargill. Doug Britton of the Georgia Tech Research Institute is chairman.
