WASHINGTON — On Jan. 16, USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that Suzanna’s Kitchen was issuing a recall for approximately 13,720 pounds of ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast fillet products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Suzanna’s Kitchen is a Georgia-based establishment that ships products all over the country.

The ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast fillet items were produced on Oct. 14, 2025, FSIS noted. The following items are subject to recall:

  • 10-lb. cases containing two 5 lb. bags of fully cooked grilled chicken breast fillets with rib meat, with lot code 60104 P1382 287 5J14 on the side of the case and on the package.

The recalled products also have establishment number “P-1382” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distribution centers for foodservice sales in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Ohio, FSIS added.

The possible contamination was not discovered until a third-party laboratory sample reported a positive for Listeria in the ready-to-eat fully cooked grilled chicken breast fillets product.

As of right now, there have been no confirmed reports of illness due to consumption of this product, FSIS stated. However, anyone concerned about an illness related to this product should contact their healthcare provider immediately.

This is not the first time Suzanna’s Kitchen has issued a recall for their products. The most recent recall was on Dec. 12, 2025. That recall was for misbranding and an undeclared allergen in their fully cooked breaded chicken products. The product contained soy, a known allergen, but it was not declared anywhere on the packaging.

Consumers with questions regarding this Listeria recall can contact Dawn Duncan, customer service director, Suzanna’s Kitchen, by email at dduncan@suzannaskitchen.com.
