SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — Scott Salmon, who is now the former Simmons Pet Food president, is joining the Simmons Foods executive leadership as the new chief commercial officer, effective immediately, Simmons announced.

“In our Pet business, Scott helped deliver record growth and results using innovative ideas and disciplined strategic executive,” Todd Simmons, Simmons Foods CEO, said in a release. “Scott and his team have driven improvements in customer value, operational excellence, and our own brand portfolio. Our company will benefit greatly from his leadership, strategic mindset, and ability to build high-performing, collaborative teams.”

Salmon’s new role will be focused on commercial strategy and standards, the branded portfolio for the Prepared Foods and Pet Food areas, and the designing of market and commercial analytics, the company noted.

“Jacob is an outstanding leader who made an impact as soon as he joined the company two years ago,” Simmons added. “He played a key role in building strong relationships with existing and new customers, growing our business, and providing repeatable, reliable results. Jacob has high standards of excellence and accountability that will help define our future success.”
