GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Boy Scouts of America’s Northeast Georgia Council honored Georgia Poultry Federation President Mike Giles with the Ralph Cleveland Distinguished Citizen Award for work in the community.
The award was presented at the council's annual Gainesville American Values Dinner.
Abit Massey, GPF president emeritis, spoke in recognition of Giles and his work for the poultry industry and all agriculture in the state. Massey said Giles has “gone far beyond what is expected of a person in his position.”
