WASHINGTON — Russia has banned U.S. food imports, including poultry, from entrance into that country but that action is not expected to adversely affect the U.S. poultry industry.
In a joint statement, the National Chicken Council and the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council noted that in recent years as Russia's domestic poultry industry has expanded, Russia has become less important as an export market.
