Rivera to lead USPOULTRY food safety program

TUCKER, Ga. — The U.S. Poultry and Egg Association has announced the appointment of Rafael Rivera as manager, Food Safety and Production Programs. He will guide USPOULTRY's Food Safety and Production Program by developing on-going programs addressing major regulatory and technical challenges facing poultry operations.

Rivera joins USPOULTRY from Perdue Farms. His experience includes serving as flock supervisor, HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) coordinator and quality assurance supervisor. Rivera holds a bachelor of science in animal science degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a master of science in poultry science degree from North Carolina. . .
