MT. PLEASANT, Texas — Priefert Manufacturing has announced the hiring of its 1,000th employee. As a family-owned company, this is a huge milestone, and reflects the expansion and growth that Priefert Mfg. is currently experiencing, the company noted.
Bill Priefert, company owner, is quick to tell people that “the company’s success would not be possible without the incredible employees and their families.”
Colton Wallace, a Mt. Pleasant, Texas, native holds the distinction of being Priefert’s 1,000th employee. Wallace graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in logistics and supply from the University of North Texas.
He will use his talents as an inventory control specialist for the Priefert Steel Sales Department. As the co-owner of a family business himself, Wallace says that he “understands the importance of hard work and is excited to work for the company he has driven past so many times.”
He added that Priefert is a company that can help him grow his skill set and achieve his goals.
Brenda Reynolds, Priefert director of human resources, said that she is “excited to welcome our 1,000th employee, Colton Wallace, to the Priefert family, and hopes that he enjoys a long, happy, and productive employment with Priefert.”
While Mt. Pleasant, Texas, is still home for the majority of Priefert employees, recent years have seen the addition of facilities in Benton, Ark., Fort Worth, Texas, and, most recently, in Boise, Idaho.
