Poultry industry icon Abit Massey, president emeritus of the Georgia Poultry Federation, has passed away following a recent cancer battle.
Mr. Massey’s accolades are numerous to both the state of Georgia and the nation’s poultry industry. An almost life-long advocate of the University of Georgia, he was specially recognized last fall with a lecture room named in his honor at the UGA Department of Poultry Science’s new building on campus.
