Poultry Extension specialist Don Bell dies

DAVIS, Calif. — Donald (Don) Dean Bell, 80, University of California-Davis poultry Extension specialist emeritus, died Oct. 17.

Bell received his bachelor's degree in animal science from UC-Davis in 1955 and his master's degree in avian science from Colorado State University in 1972.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he began his career with the University of California as a poultry farm advisor with the Extension Service and served the industry for 50 years.

Bell also served as the California State Poultry Specialist as well as an economic advisor to the United Egg Producers and was. . .
