STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Although no detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been recorded in the U.S. for more than several months, the toll the virus has taken on the U.S. poultry and egg industry this year is staggering, the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council notes.
