DOVER, Del. — Poultry workers in Delaware are now prioritized as essential employees under the state’s Phase 1B of vaccine distribution.
The Delaware News Journal reported on Feb. 8 that leaders in the industry and state are now faced with the next step of getting shots into workers arms.
But it won’t be an easy task. There’s a vaccine shortage and language barriers to contend with because many of the workers are part of Delaware’s Latino and Haitian immigrant communities.
