WASHINGTON — La Guadalupana Wholesale Co. Inc. of a Chicago, Ill., is recalling approximately 34,923 pounds of pork and chicken tamale products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced. The products contain egg whites, a known allergen, which are not declared on the product label.
The pork and chicken tamale items were produced on various dates between Jan. 16, 2015, and March 30, 2015. The products recalled are 25-pound cases, 4-ounce pieces and 15-pound cases, 3-ounce pieces of “La Guadalupana Hot Pork Tamales” and “La Guadalupana Hot. . .
