Pilgrim’s recalls products due to possible foreign matter contamination

WASHINGTON — Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. in Waco, Texas, is recalling approximately 40,780 pounds of fully cooked chicken nugget products that may be contaminated with extraneous plastic materials, USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced.

The fully cooked chicken nugget products were produced on Oct. 5, 2015, and include 20-pound cardboard boxes containing two, 10-pound clear plastic bags of fully cooked chicken nuggets labeled as “Gold Kist Farms Fully Cooked Whole Grain Popcorn Style Chicken Patty Fritters.”

The products have establishment number “EST. P-20728” inside the USDA mark of inspection and include package codes 5278105021. . .
