WASHINGTON — Case Farms' chicken processing facility in Winesburg, Ohio, has been cited by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration for two repeat and one other-than-serious safety violations.
The agency has proposed penalties of $23,000.
OSHA opened an investigation at the Winesburg facility in October 2015 to evaluate record-keeping and employee exposure to campylobacter bacteria following a referral from another government agency.
OSHA cited Case Farms for failure to:
- Complete an OSHA 301 form for each recordable injury or illness.
- Record an injury or illness within seven calendar days of occurrence.
