NTF kicks off convention with Turkey Smoke BBQ competition
WASHINGTON — The National Turkey Federation will bring Turkey Smoke, a turkey-only barbecue competition, to San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, to kick-off its 2019 Annual Convention.
The competition will be held at the Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station in San Antonio from 4-9 p.m.
The Turkey Smoke event will bring together serious barbecue pitmasters from Texas and beyond to prepare their best turkey entries and compete to take home the championship.
This flavorful competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) and challenges pitmasters to prepare three cuts of turkey.
The Turkey Smoke competition will be hosted by Brad Orrison of the award-winning BBQ restaurant The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint and will feature special guest judge, Congressman Will Hurd (R-Texas).
