Minnesota poultry prince and princess named

MINNEAPOLIS — Two 4-H'ers — Alex Oelke, a 17-year-old from Otsego representing Sherburne County, and Kristina Allen, an 18-year-old from Rochester in Olmsted County — have won the fourth-annual Poultry Prince and Princess Contest.

The contest, a scholarship program of Minnesota 4-H and Gold’n Plump®, recognizes the knowledge, leadership and skills of Minnesota’s youth in the state’s poultry industry by awarding two teenagers with poultry ambassador titles and $1,000 academic scholarships.
