BUFFALO, Minn. — The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association and the Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council commended Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for declaring June 18, 2023, Turkey Lover’s Day in Minnesota. June is known as National Turkey Lovers’ Month, with June 18th specifically noted as National Turkey Lover’s Day.
“Minnesota’s turkey industry is resilient! Since the beginning of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak, the turkey industry has fought to overcome challenges, all while continuing day-to-day operations and providing turkey for families worldwide to enjoy,” said Jes Westbrock, MTGA president.
