BATON ROUGE, La. Over the past two years, the Louisiana State University AgCenter's broiler demonstration houses, at its Hill Farm Research Station, have been a focal point for demonstrations and training sessions for LSU AgCenter Environmental Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Poultry, and USDA's Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS).
Demonstrations on the effects of vegetation on water quality around exhaust fans, and the benefits and comparison of in-house windrowing of broiler litter have been conducted with these houses. And, NRCS guidelines. . .
