Kayanne Massey, wife of Abit Massey, passes away

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Kayanne Shoffner Massey, wife of the late Abit Massey, former president emeritus of the Georgia Poultry Federation, passed away on Dec. 22 in Gainesville, Ga. Mrs. Massey was born in Calhoun, Ga., to the late Paul and Betty Lewis Shoffner.

Kayanne and Abit’s 64-year story together began shortly after she was crowned Miss Georgia in 1959, when Abit began his courtship. Mrs. Massey studied education at Agnes Scott College for two years before beginning her married life with Abit in Gainesville. She graduated from Brenau University magna cum laude and has been recognized as an outstanding. . .
