ATLANTA — The National Protein and Food Distributors Association awarded Judson Guest, LAD Truck Lines executive vice president, with its Member of the Year Award during its recent Annual Convention and Showcase in Atlanta, Ga.

Guest, along with his brother, Mack, formed LAD Truck Lines in the late 1990s, and it is a family-owned logistics company, headquartered in Watkinsville, Ga., and serving 48 states with transportation services.

“Judson exemplifies leadership, integrity, and dedication in every aspect of his life,” Mack Guest said in a prepared statement during the award presentation. “Known for his strong work ethic and genuine respect for others, he consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on whatever he’s involved in. His influence goes beyond titles and achievements. He leads by example, inspires trust, and consistently raises the standard for what it means to be a leader.”

NPFDA notes that Guest has been a vital supporter of the association for more than 25 years. He is a past chair of the Board of Directors, as well as a director for several years. He also co-chaired the 2025 NPFDA Scholarship Selection Committee and the association adds that he was “instrumental in its growth and expansion to serve more students.”

Guest graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984 with a bachelor of science in education. He and his wife, Paula, have two daughters and three grandchildren.

“Jud is truly deserving of recognition as this year’s NPFDA Member of the Year,” NPFDA outgoing chair Chan Windham, House of Raeford Farms, said during the presentation. “He has brought a high level of professionalism to the association. Jud is a true industry pro, and his many years of generous efforts have made NPFDA the strong organization it is today.”
